JOURNALISM CLUB

By signing you do hereby acknowledge that VOTC GROUP LLC/TEXASRANKED has elected to organize this club with the general objective to enjoy photography and journalism. I further acknowledge that within that objective from time to time VOTC GROUP LLC/TEXASRANKED and associated organized groups will suggest a date, time and place for its members, and others, to meet for social enjoyment, especially the taking of photographs. Neither VOTC GROUP LLC/TEXASRANKED or any of its individual members sponsor, or in any way take an active role in such meetings or travel to and from such meetings; all active participation in such meetings must be undertaken by each individual who, in his or her own discretion, decides to attend such meetings and make all of his/her own arrangements for travel, lodging, attending meetings, photography shoots, or other desired and related activities (herein "activities"). Thus, I do hereby release and forever discharge VOTC GROUP LLC/TEXASRANKED and each and all of its members in their capacity as a member of the TEXASRANKED Journalist Club for any and all injuries, accidents, physical or mental harm of any nature, and any and all other form of economic or personal injury that may happen to me during any preparation for my attending any such activities or that occurs to me during my travel to or from and participation in such activities whether such injury occurs through another's negligence or intentional wrong doing. Further I do hereby waive any and all rights I may acquire due to an injury as referenced above to sue in any court of law or equity, arbitrate against, pursue through any alternative dispute resolution agency, or any other forum against VOTC GROUP LLC/TEXASRANKED, it’s organized groups, or any of its members in their capacity as a member of TEXASRANKED Journalist Club. Provided, however, this release and waiver does not prevent me from pursuing in any legal manner any individual, whether a member or not a member of TEXASRANKED Journalist Club, in his/her individual capacity, for any injury or wrong that such individual may cause to my detriment. I also hereby authorize VOTC GROUP LLC/TEXASRANKED and its representatives (collectively “TexasRanked Journalist Club”) to capture my image in a photograph, video, or other digital media (collectively “photo”) and to use my photo(s) for educational and promotional purposes in any of its presentations and publications, including print, web-based, and electronic presentations and publications. I authorize the use of my original work i.e. photo(s) for publication in a photograph, video, or other digital media and to use my photo(s) for educational and promotional purposes in any of its presentations and publications, including print, web-based, and electronic presentations and publications. I understand and agree that my photo(s) and original work (photo(s), video, blog, vlog, written publications) will become the property of VOTC GROUP LLC/TEXASRANKED and will not be given or returned to me. I hereby irrevocably authorize VOTC GROUP LLC/TEXASRANKED to edit, alter, copy, exhibit, publish, and/or distribute my photo(s) and original work for any lawful purpose. In addition, I waive any right to inspect or approve any finished product that contains my photo(s) or original work. Additionally, I waive any right to payment, royalties, or other compensation of any kind arising from or related to the use of my photo(s) or original work. I hereby hold harmless, release, and forever discharge VOTC GROUP LLC/TEXASRANKED from all claims, demands, and causes of action which I, my heirs, representatives, assigns, agents, executors, administrators, or any other persons acting on my behalf or on behalf of my estate have or may have by reason of the use of my photo(s) or of this photo authorization, waiver, and release. I HAVE READ AND UNDERSTAND THE ABOVE PHOTO AUTHORIZATION, WAIVER, AND RELEASE. I AFFIRM THAT I AM AT LEAST 18 YEARS OF AGE, OR, IF I AM UNDER 18 YEARS OF AGE, I HAVE OBTAINED THE REQUIRED CONSENT OF MY PARENT(S)/GUARDIAN(S) AS EVIDENCED BY THEIR SIGNATURES BELOW. I HEREBY ACCEPT THE TERMS OF THIS PHOTO AUTHORIZATION, WAIVER, AND RELEASE.
